Terminal expansion project is 1.5 years from completion, airport officials say; ‘We’ve done really, really well as far as managing the crowds’
Charlotte Douglas International Airport officials said Monday that it’ll be another year and a half until they’re finished expanding the terminal lobby, and they believe the airport has handled crowds well so far.
The comments came during a news conference Monday to announce the airport's new pedestrian skybridges, which connect the hourly parking deck with the terminal lobby. (The bridges open today; The Ledger shared a glimpse of them in Monday's newsletter.)
