New franchise owner decided to ‘concentrate efforts on the Foxcroft store as its flagship location’; new sites scouted

There will be no cones of Chunky Monkey, Phish Food or Cherry Garcia in Myers Park this summer, as the longtime Ben & Jerry’s in the area has closed.

The Providence Road outpost of the ice cream chain known for its tie-dye, hippie, all-natural vibe opened in 1989, according to newspaper archives.
