Upgrades for Concourse E are about to get started

Who’s ready for more airport construction?

The Charlotte airport has received building permits for its newest renovation project: a refurbishing of Concourse E, its sprawling regional jet terminal.

In September, the City Council approved $46.1M in contracts for what is being called “Concourse E Public Area Renovations.” The airport tells The Ledger that the work has recently started.

In the description of the contracts presented to the City Council last fall, city officials said the project consists of:
