Business is booming at Atrium Health, with more patients than ever turning to the state’s largest hospital system for care, according to a report at a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority board meeting on Tuesday.
The hospital’s net operating revenue surged to $5.9B for the first half of 2024 — 9.2% over what the system had budgeted, said Rodney Ball, chief financial officer for Atrium’s Southeast region. If the growth continues, Atrium will surpass its record $9.3B in revenue from 2023.
