Water main break leaves ‘several ZIP codes’ with low or no pressure; ‘Expect low-to-no water pressure throughout the evening,’ city says
by Tony Mecia
Thousands of Charlotte residents are experiencing low or no water pressure this evening, the result of what the city says is a large water main break on Remount Road.
On social media channels, Charlotte Water said to “expect low-to-no water pressure throughout the evening.”
That’s really about all the details we have on that. So in the news business, when all else fails, we see what people are saying on social media.
People on Twitter and Facebook reported problems with water pressure in many neighborhoods close and even not-so-close to uptown, including SouthPark, Plaza-Midwood, NoDa, Cotswold, University City, Steele Creek, Ballantyne, the airport, Albemarle Road … so this sounds like a big one.
