Charlotte Catholic High School’s recent switch to a new Catholic-based accreditation program is angering parents who are calling for more transparency from the school and worrying the new accreditation doesn’t have the same college-prep focus and national recognition to help their kids to be competitive for college.
As of Friday morning, more than 900 people had signed a change.org petition titled Transparency and Accountability from CCHS Administration that called for a second accreditation and better communication. It also addressed a number of other issues parents have with the school, including the recent departures of school staff and the future of the school’s ancient world history curriculum.
