There’s been lots of anticipation over the renovation and reopening of the historic Carolina Theatre on Tryon Street in uptown — and after eight years of construction work and a $90M price tag, the curtain is coming up.
It seems fitting that one of the first groups to perform there will be one with a storied history in the space — the Charlotte Symphony, which gave its inaugural performance at the Carolina Theatre on March 20, 1932.
