Good evening!

Just a quick note to let you know that the Ledger team is going to be LIVE BLOGGING tonight’s big school board meeting, at which the public will weigh in on proposed school assignment boundaries for south Charlotte.

It affects 27 schools attended by tens of thousands of students. The Ledger has been covering this issue extensively for the last year. There is no vote tonight — that’s June 6.

We’ll provide regular updates tonight from the Government Center and have a complete report in Wednesday’s edition of The Charlotte Ledger. The meeting, which starts at 6 p.m., could go late: More than 90 people are signed up to speak.

Feel free to check out the LIVE BLOG:

We’ll try to keep it punchy and interesting and tell you what you need to know, in context.
