Exclusive preview of Plaza-Midwood social district
Ledger members are invited to come hear about the effect of Charlotte's first social district on businesses and customers — and experience a taste of it
Ledger sneak peek event: Plaza Midwood’s social district is expected to start in March; Join us for an exclusive inside look
Charlotte’s first social district — an area where people can carry alcoholic drinks legally outside — is expected to start in early March in Plaza Midwood.
And The Charlotte Ledger is pleased to announce an exclusive preview event offering an inside look at how the social district will work and what it means for local businesses and the public.
We’ve teamed up with the Plaza Midwood Merchants Association and CLT Public Relations on a preview that will feature a panel discussion about the new social district. Participants will be issued the official social district reusable steel cup, and we’ll walk to a second location for a networking social.
The evening program includes two drinks — a specialty cocktail and a beer or wine — as well as the official reusable social district cup and appetizers. Space is limited to 60 participants, so if you want in, you might think about moving quickly to buy tickets.
Details and tickets:
When: Tuesday, Feb. 27, 5:30-7 p.m.
Where: Dish, 1220 Thomas Ave., and Legion Brewing, 1906 Commonwealth Ave.
What: Panel discussion, networking, cocktail + beer/wine, light food, official reusable social district steel cup
Cost: $60 (plus $2 processing fee)

We hope to see you there! It should be a fun and enlightening time.
