Just when you thought greeting card stores were on the way out … a new Hallmark is opening on Pineville-Matthews Road

In news that may come as a Holiday Touchdown for people whose love language is sending greeting cards, Hallmark is opening a new Gold Crown store in the McMullen Creek Shopping Center off Pineville-Matthews Road near the Pineville-Charlotte line.

Construction is underway in the large storefront, which was previously a Kure Vaporium. (How’s that for a tenant switch?)

Now there’s a sight we haven’t seen for a while — a new Hallmark store opening in the Charlotte area.
