If you like to laugh and you enjoy following local news (and clearly you do, if subscribe to this newsletter), we’ve got an invitation you won’t want to miss: a special Charlotte Ledger night at Charlotte Squawks on Friday, June 10.

For those who may not know, Charlotte Squawks is a “Saturday Night Live”-like annual stage show that pokes fun at local politics, pop culture and sports through satire and musical parodies. 

We’re offering our community of paying members a 10% discount on tickets, a casual meetup beforehand with Ledger editors Tony Mecia and Cristina Bolling (we’re still ironing out the details on exactly where that will be — we’ll let you know in an upcoming newsletter) and a short Q&A session after the show with one or more Squawk-ers.

The show starts at 8 p.m. at the Booth Playhouse in the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. (Be warned that it can contain adult language and themes, and it might ridicule subjects that you like.)
