In a memo, the county manager cites fairness, turnover and ‘reduced levels of customer service’
All Mecklenburg County employees will be required to report to their offices or workspaces five days per week starting July 1 — a change from the current policy that allows employees to work remotely two days per week.
In a memo to county staff on Monday obtained by The Ledger, Mecklenburg County Manager Dena Diorio said the county’s organizational health has suffered since Covid, and that having workers in offices full-time will lead to better communication, productivity and customer service.
