🦕 ♻️ Mecklenburg County’s ‘Foam-A-Saurus Rex’ recycling initiative receives national recognition

A dinosaur-themed initiative designed to get Mecklenburg County residents more jazzed about recycling foam has taken off — so much so, that it won the county a national award. 

The concept is this: “Foam-A-Saurus Rex,” a fictitious T-rex that lives inside special black recycling bins that are used to collect white, rigid polystyrene foam at four county recycling drop-off centers.
