County Manager Dena Diorio said Thursday that the local economy has cooled off, leading to slower growth in county tax revenues and contributing to the need for a tax increase.
“While the overall economy of the region remains steady, it has clearly slowed, and ongoing revenues are not anticipated to grow as fast as they have in recent years,” she said.
