Inside Robinson Bradshaw’s top floors at Legacy Union’s new 6Hundred office tower: fitness center, tricked out tech in conference rooms, terraces with fire pits, pickleball court
Charlotte law firm Robinson Bradshaw moved into the top four floors of Lincoln Property Co.’s newest office tower this week at Legacy Union. It is at 600 S. Tryon St. and is called, appropriately, 6Hundred.
As there are few recently completed Charlotte office towers nowadays, we asked and received permission from the firm to take a tour of what modern Class A office space looks like in 2025.
As someone who worked at the Charlotte Observer building on this very site for about a decade, I can tell you with certainty that this is, oh, 100 times better.
Unlike the four-story Observer building, whose notable 1970s architectural feature was windows that resembled gun turrets, the 24-story 6Hundred has that new-office smell. When combined with new furniture, light-friendly design and modern touches, it would seem to be a pleasant place to show up to work.
That’s part of the rationale for state-of-the-art offices these days: that you want your employees to love going to work — yes, of course for the work and the colleagues, but also for the features of your office building.
