One of Charlotte’s most litigious restaurant operators, Patrick Whalen of fine-dining spots Church and Union and La Belle Helene uptown, has a new lawsuit on his hands — from an investor group that includes the founders of White Point Partners, the Charlotte real estate development company that created Optimist Hall.
