I haven’t rewed my drivers license in the Charlotte area for over 20 years. My secret? Plan a trip to the mountains and renew there. You can renew up to 6 months before your license expires. You still need to make an appt. I did that last Sept. and was in and out in 20 mins. In Boone. I always renew our license plates online.
Our experience was also that the South location is the worst. We were treated very disrespectfully by one of the employees, after we had an appt and were following directions given by another employee. The employee would not give us his name and his supervisor just said that the employee was a ‘direct’ person. Need leadership, organization, and customer service training at this location.
Thanks so much for this look at the local DMVs. It would be interesting to add some sort of brief zip code metric to the address, like possibly average household income? Obviously there are huge disparities in how these offices are resourced. Just no reason for those disparities.
#2 because they wore masks? Really?

Would be interesting to observe DMV offices in the Raleigh area.
The DMV look would have been improved with a list of bus routes nearby each. Don't non-drivers go to DMV to get a Voter Photo ID?
