Are there provisions in the bill to keep the insurance companies from passing the costs of the measures on to consumers? Love the intent of the bill, but I’m worried that the insurance companies will raise rates as a result
Good question, Jason. I don't see any provision along those lines in the bill. In its letter, AHIP did say that requiring those who review claims on behalf of insurers to be doctors licensed in North Carolina would add to health care costs.
