Introducing 2 new newsletters from The Charlotte Ledger
We're adding to our lineup of original, high-quality newsletters on a wide range of topics, and letting you decide what you want in your email inbox
Today, we’re excited to announce two new newsletters in The Ledger’s offerings — one dedicated to Charlotte’s growth and development, the other focused on arts criticism.
It’s part of our effort to deliver high-quality, original news and insights about topics many of our readers care about, by sending special themed newsletters directly into readers’ mailboxes.
Starting today, you can sign up for Toppman on the Arts and Real Estate Whispers, which will each publish several times a month on an occasional basis.
Existing subscribers can opt into them on their account settings page. Subscribers new to The Ledger have the option to opt into them when they sign up. You won’t receive these new newsletters unless you opt into them. With The Ledger, you’re always in control of what you receive and what you don’t. People have different interests, and you can customize the information you receive, easily and online.
Let’s tell you about these two new offerings:
◼️ Toppman on the Arts will feature the arts criticism of Lawrence Toppman, one of the best-known voices in local arts criticism who’s been writing about the arts in Charlotte for more than 45 years.
For the last two years, Toppman has been writing reviews of theater, ballet, music and museum exhibits for The Ledger under the banner “Larry at Large.”
The new Toppman on the Arts newsletter will contain the same quality arts criticism you’ve come to expect from Toppman, but the new delivery format will make it easier to find the reviews easily in your email inbox. The newsletter will be free to all, and it will come out when Toppman’s new reviews are ready. Look for it several times a month.
◼️ Real Estate Whispers will provide an inside look at Charlotte’s growth and development. For the last year, our regular Charlotte Commercial Real Estate Whispers column has explored this topic, breaking development news ahead of the pack and providing insights on Charlotte’s growth — often with photos and videos.
As its own newsletter, Real Estate Whispers can more easily deliver the information to those who want it, from industry professionals interested in deal-making to residents interested in what is changing near their homes. Look for more innovations in delivering this information, too. Real Estate Whispers will be available exclusively to paying Ledger members. Look for it at least biweekly.
