I spent most of 2022 in Cambridge, MA, and took public transit everywhere. I met remarkable people on the bus who I saw with unexpected regularity. It was a delight to be with people of all ages and stages, who spoke many languages and had amazing stories. I've taken the trolley and light rail here. They are cleaner and the people are similarly delightful.
Amazing what you can see and do when your commute doesn't involve having to drive. I now live halfway between Greensboro and Winston-Salem and I keep on hoping for a park-and-ride out here that I don't think is ever going to materialize (especially because I cross county lines to get to work).
