Charlotte City and Mecklenburg County officials are excited about mass transit, not easing commuters daily lives. Unless you live close to a train station, you will have to drive to one, and guess what - parking and traffic at peak times will be not much better than freeway congestion. I-77 should be expanded now, using all the state help we can get, and no “temporary” sales tax increase to cover any of the rest. Too bad the state govt, which disliked Charlotte before it turned blue, is 180 degrees from Charlotte’s mass transit dream.
